Key School provides a learning environment that caters to students in grades K – 12 diagnosed with learning differences. Our flexible scheduling and low student to teacher ratio, accommodates the unique learning requirements and plays a large role in finding academic success for each student.

Diagnostic testing is important for us to know your child’s strengths and weaknesses. Current testing must have been completed within the last three years and should include a formal cognitive/intelligence measure and an achievement measure. Full Individual Evaluations (FIE) completed in the public school are acceptable, along with private evaluations completed by a licensed or certified professional. Testing should be emailed to Carson Boswell. We can provide a list of recommended diagnosticians
Now it’s time to apply so we can learn more about your student.
A formal invitation to apply will be sent to you once we review your inquiry, visit with you on a tour and review testing. The Admissions committee reviews the testing and makes a determination that your student fits our student profile. As part of the application, we will ask for teacher and administration referrals. There is a $50 fee to apply.
A student visitation will be scheduled to allow time for academic inventories as well as faculty assessment once we review the application. We require a three-day visit (typically, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). Visiting students are paired with a host student to help them feel comfortable at Key School. We charge a nominal fee for this visit. If your child enrolls, the fee will be credited to your account.
Following the three-day student visit, our admissions committee will review the provided testing, inventories, and faculty assessments to determine whether Key School is an appropriate placement. The Admission Specialists reviews the information with you to determine next steps in the enrollment process.
