Clubs & Activities

Key School offers a variety of after-school clubs designed to provide opportunities for Key School students to learn leadership, sportsmanship, strategy and more. Clubs are led by Key School teachers and are hosted on our campus. All clubs are after school and are dismissed at 4:45. Some clubs are open to all divisions (Lower and Upper School) and some clubs are only open to Upper School Students. Some clubs have an associated cost; these costs are intended to cover the cost of equipment and instructors.

Student Council is September-May and meets once a month. Some leadership positions in Student Council are elected, but Upper School (9-12) students have the opportunity to participate in Student Council as representatives. Students apply and be recommended by a teacher.

The Knights Chess Club of Key School provides a fun opportunity for all chess player levels to experience the challenges of chess and sharpen strategy skills to achieve Check Mate. Players maneuver material to implement a carefully planned scheme using multiple cognitive strategies enhancing problem solving skills. A fun, intense, competitive spirit fills the room as players enjoy their success. All levels from beginner to advanced are welcome to join. This club meets twice a month in the Spring.

Board Game Club which occurs September-May and meets once a month. Students are exposed to a variety of games and learn strategy, problem solving, winning and losing and more.

Volleyball is a Fall Club and Golf is a Spring Club. Both volleyball and golf have practice on the Key School campus but also have opportunities for off campus competition with students from other schools.
