Safety and Security

Safety is Key!

Key School and Training Center is committed to providing a safety and secure campus for our students, faculty, families and other visitors. We have an Incident Command Team made up of over 20 administration and support staff who meet on a regular basis to develop protocols, assess risk and provide framework should an incident occur on campus. This team has valuable experience across all areas of education and workplace. Through this work, the team has developed several levels of safety and emergency response initiatives which are highlighted here.

Restricted Access
  • Fenced and gated monitored property
  • Entry/exit doors monitored by alarm and staff
  • Secure access points into student areas
and Checks
  • All visitors and volunteers must sign-in through check-in system
  • Visitors and volunteers must wear printed  badge
  • Required background screening for all staff and volunteers
  • All Staff must wear ID badge
Training and Incident Command Team
  • Staff have received emergency training including Active Shooter and Stop the Bleed
  • Regular emergency drills conducted for fire, severe weather, and lock down
  • Key School and Training Center Incident Command Team in place
Additional Security Measures
  • Security cameras on campus
  • Footage from cameras is viewed live and archived for monitoring as needed
  • Phone system panic button connects with 911
  • All Staff are assigned parking spots and must register vehicle
